The 2008 whirlwind.

The 2008 whirlwind has begun.  I think I may be over my jet-lag, just in time to go back to Europe next week for the Winterberg Dirtmiester festival.  We will be launching the new R.E.D line of Rotwild bikes and partaking in the mandatory fun of the festival.  I am okay with that!

My last trip took me to Belgium, Germany and Italy.  For the first couple of weeks, I was supporting my girlfriend Willow Koerber in her quest for an Olympic berth.  She has never felt worse , so everyone send her some good vibes!  She did feel a bit better however, after we visited Adidas and they hooked us both up with sweet new product.  Aftter I left her to struggle alone in Spain, I lived it up in Italy at the Riva del Garda Festival.

I am lucky for a healthy liver and a fast metabolism because I ate and drank like Maximus (before he was captured).  Fueled by Italian cuisine, I railed my new Rotwild E1 and rocked some shuttles on my R.E.D. 2 with Wade Simmons, Holger Meyer, Andrew Shandro and my good buddy James.  The high action was captured by photographer Marco Toniolo.  We were also joined by a fleet of local shredders.

Somehow, I also found the time to visit the AXO headquarters in Treviso to discuss some cool new products in development.  Of course, I was treated to some spectacular Italian lunches.

This was a perfect trip to start the season.  The weather was spectacular, the vistas serene, and the dirt couldn’t have been better.  The trails are also pretty sweet here in Whistler.  I will be railing those trails until I head back to Frankfurt next week.  Stay tuned, here we go.
